"Created in COVID"
While we are still experiencing the effects and ramifications of the COVID Pandemic, it is finally time to start coming back together. The Lansdowne Arts Board is proud to announce an open call to artists for an *in-person exhibition at the 2020 House* showcasing original artwork created during the Pandemic.
Among many other lessons, this experience has reminded us how much we value the arts- especially since we lost our access to so much of them during the Pandemic. Whether large or small, public or private, experiential or experimental, art makes a difference in how we live our lives. This is an opportunity to share what we created to help inspire others during this unprecedented period of shared history.
This exhibition aims to showcase work from Lansdowne-area artists of all ages created during their time spent at home during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Artists of all disciplines (visual artists, crafters, writers, choreographers, performers, composers and others) are welcome and encouraged to submit up to 5 original works (or documentation of performances, public works, etc.) created between March 13th 2020 and June 28th 2021 (when the Pennsylvania Department of Health lifted the universal mask mandate).
IMPORTANT DATES:
September 18th - Free Sale
September 18th-24th: All work to be delivered to the 2020 House at designated times
October 2nd: Opening reception from 6-8pm
Exhibition will also open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4pm
October 24th: Exhibition closes
