Cultures across the world have produced fiber arts for thousands of years. Prehistoric indigenous groups produced fiber art by twisting plant materials and weaving animal skins to create the earth’s earliest textiles. Different tribes developed distinct patterns to identify themselves and record history. Today, contemporary textile art is a dynamic and evolving art allowing for personal expression and storytelling. Artists of today are able to explore traditional techniques while using non-traditional materials in a non-traditional way.
We invite artists of all backgrounds to explore their cultural traditions through the process of fiber arts. How can you tell your story of the past? Weaving, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, quilting, felting, stitching, knotting, basketry, rug hooking, quilting, sculptural form and material experimentation are welcome. Join us in celebrating the diversity and creativity of fiber art, and its rich history.

We are currently accepting submissions from artists working in fiber art mediums, including:
- Weaving
- Knitting/Crocheting
- Embroidery
- Quilting
- Felting
- Stitching
- Knotting
- Basketry
- Rug hooking
- Quilting
- Sculptural form
- Material Experimentation
