Elisabeth Nickles
Process: new work from Nepal

September 11 - November 27, 2016
Elisabeth Nickles is mixed media sculptor from Philadelphia. In the spring of 2016 she did an artist residency at the Kathmandu Contemporary Arts Centre at the Patan Museum, in Nepal.  Nickles travelled and worked in Nepal for two months, using traditional materials for a new body of work addressing environmental, spiritual and social concerns.

Process: work from Nepal focused on Nickles’ experience in Nepal and translating that experience into multi-dimensional art works.  Included in the exhibition were examples of a variety of physical processes used in making sculpture, as well as writing and photos about the work.

Process: work from Nepal
ran from September 11 through November 27, 2016.

Process: work from Nepal  was the third show in the Lansdowne Arts Board Juried Solo Exhibition Series, at the 20*20 House Gallery. Artists in the series were selected by Bridgette Mayer, owner of the Bridgette Mayer Gallery.  The series highlights the work of eight regional artists, and, over the next two years, provides emerging and established artists the opportunity to present their work in an up-and-coming arts space.
